What you would be doing: As a senior advisor, the incumbent advises the Assistant Administrator on scientific issues pertaining to the development, planning, coordination, and implementation of statistical analyses of food safety and public health related to the full range of FSIS program areas and is a nationally recognized expert on data analytics related to food safety and public health. The incumbent personally conducts or directs comprehensive data analyses and integration studies that require detailed knowledge of food safety and public health issues.
Qualifications: Degree: Mathematics, statistics, or actuarial science. The degree must be in a major field of study (at least at the baccalaureate level) that is appropriate for the position or combination of education and experience: Courses equivalent to a major field of study as shown in paragraph A above, plus additional education or appropriate experience.

What you would be doing: Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to: general office support, processing accounts payable invoices, processing time and attendance entry for payroll, general data entry, HR paperwork preparation, and assisting shipping and logistics as needed.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Solid skills with Microsoft Word and Excel and general Microsoft Windows and internet. Good organization and project management skills. Experience with accounts payable, time and attendance processing and general office management in an agricultural setting. Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and communicate well. Self-directed, yet consensus driven, with the ability to implement solutions with team input. Bilingual in English/Spanish.
A little about the business: Kalmbach Swine Management is the leading Ohio pork producer. We entered the industry in 1985 with the purchase of a 600 head farrow to finish operation in Circleville. Through innovative management and dedicated teamwork we have expanded our operations to include eleven farrow-to-wean sow units housing over 30,000 animals. Aside from our Circleville location our farms are primarily distributed throughout western Ohio from Bryan to Marysville.
What you would be doing: Organize and delegate daily/weekly workflow schedule. Exhibit proficiency in all sow unit skill sets. Oversee proper nutrition, welfare, and medical treatment for all animals. Monitor cost metrics to ensure budget targets are met. Optimize productivity through management of gilt entry, cull matrices, breed planning, and wean schedules. Train, develop, and mentor farm staff. Accurately record data and utilize sophisticated computer software to generate statistical reports. Possess basic mechanical skills needed to perform routine maintenance of facility.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Agriculture, or a related field is preferred. 5+ years of supervisory experience. Farm management experience of 2,400+ head of swine.
A little about the business: Gunvalson Farms is a family owned and operated farming operation specializing in growing wild rice, red potatoes and small grains on 5000+ acres of fertile peat soil nestled in the northwoods of MN.
What you would be doing: Gunvalson Farms is seeking a full-time team member to take a lead role in ensuring company profitability by direct and supervisory involvement in every step of the crop process from pre-planning each field to growing to assisting with the harvesting and storing of the crops once mature. Responsibilities are flexible depending on your individual skill set and interest.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in agronomy, crop science or related agricultural field. Ability to problem solve and make decisions as needed. Demonstrate self-starter. Positive team player. Strong mechanical and computer skills. Exhibit integrity and possess a strong work ethic. Able to make budget-conscious economic decisions. Prior potato farming experience is preferred but not required.

What you would be doing: The sales and service of our pollination product line (bumblebees), with future work in biological control and microbiological product lines. Expanding the outdoor pollination market in the SE, Georgia Region, while promoting Koppert’s QUAD™ pollination units in the blueberry and cucurbit market. Additional development opportunities are present in the Central Florida strawberry market.
Qualifications: BA/BS degree, preferably in Entomology, Biology or Ag-related careers with 3+ years’ sales/account management experience, with at least 2 years in the agricultural industry. Farming experience with cucurbits, blueberry, strawberry a plus. Ability to work with autonomy and willing to travel intensively on business (50% or more). Ability to negotiate, mediate and resolve conflicts.
