What you would be doing: Miller-Bowie Supply is accepting applications for General Manager to provide leadership, management oversight and work closely with a local board of directors. We serve an agriculturally diverse area including row-crops, pecans, forestry, and livestock.
Qualifications: Bachelor degree in Ag Business, Agronomy, Animal Science or related field preferred. Senior management experience in the agriculture industry is a must, preference given to those with co-op experience. The successful candidate will have the ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives, strong leadership and team-building skills, excellent supervisory and communications skills and proven finacial management ability. Additionally, you must understand basic accounting, finance/budgeting, planning, business processes and possess excellent public relations and organizational skills and have the ability to work independently.

What you would be doing: We’re hiring a for an experienced Grower to lead the Perennial department in Waller, TX. You’ll be responsible for hands on management, grower practices of our perennial, annual and tropical products (mainly 1-3 gallon containers). We are seeking a detail-oriented individual who thrives on delivering consistent, high-quality product. You will work with customers and internally with the sales team to ensure the right product is delivered on time as well as working closely with upper management on various levels such as production targets and budgeting.
Qualifications: Degree in Horticulture or related field. People management experience. 6-10 years commercial propagation or growing experience. Perennial growing experience preferably in the Southern U.S. region.

What you would be doing: Calling producers and setting appointments to discuss grain marketing options, market research on available bushels, and ensure all required contracts are completed correctly. Communicate with customer and document customer’s needs and develop and maintain relationships with customers and gain insight into their needs as a guideline to offer new or additional products or services.
Qualifications: 3 years’ experience in agriculture related field. Knowledge and understanding of key economic drivers of a successful grain business. Ability to read, understand and effectively communicate information through writing and speaking so others will understand.
A little about the business: Willowsford Farm is a 300-acre community-based farm in Ashburn and Aldie, VA, and a part of Willowsford Conservancy. We raise sustainably grown vegetables, small fruit, and pastured pigs and laying hens for a Community Supported Agriculture program and our retail Farm Stand.
What you would be doing: Willowsford Conservancy is seeking a full-time, year-round Farm Retail Manager to lead our farm-based retail operations and assist with the long-term development of the Farm Stand, CSA and related opportunities.
Qualifications: Five years of experience in grocery retail, preferably related to organic, local and farm-grown products. At least two years of management experience and responsibility for the financial viability of the retail operation. Prior experience with a CSA. Business-related Bachelor’s degree preferred. Must be able to work variable shifts, including weekends.
A little about the business: Commericial egg producer in the West Michigan area
What you would be doing: The ideal candidate will take an initiative driven, entrepreneurial approach to their business. Through process review and improvement, they will develop better management and efficiencies of the feed mill operation which will ensure consistent production of nutritionally balanced feed.
Qualifications: Minimum: Associates degree in Feed Mill Management or equivalent years of experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred in Feed Mill Management or Animal Science.
