What you would be doing: This position will perform bookkeeping duties related to Sales and Use tax returns and other tax returns, assists with annual audits, and assists with performing a variety of cash and accounts receivable functions on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.

Qualifications: Associate’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Grain Elevator Worker for Hartley Grain Co., Inc.

A little about the business: Hartley Grain Co, Inc. operates a grain elevator where we purchase, handle and sell locally produced grains. Construction to begin soon on a major upgrade that is scheduled to be operational by this fall of 2018 local corn and soybean harvest. Our sales are delivered by truck to ethanol plants, export shippers and soybean processing plants inside Indiana. We also are a retail crop production inputs and services provider.  We sell and custom apply crop plant food fertilizers, crop protection products and seeds.

What you would be doing: We are hiring a full-time Grain Elevator Operations Worker in Elwood, IN who will understand the demands placed on us by our customer and perform general labor job duties such as assisting customers, loading/unloading/moving trucks, operating equipment, entering/recording data, and more. This job is open to entry level candidates that are willing to work hard and have an attitude that can handle the pressure.

Qualifications: A CDL or are willing to obtain one. General computer skills. A Certified Pesticide Applicator license or willing to obtain one. A willingness to pursue and obtain extra responsibilities.

Willingness to travel (up to 50%) throughout your region to appropriately service customers and build new business accounts. Strong interpersonal, oral, written and presentation communication skills. Ability to successfully pass criminal background check. Clear driving record required.

You enjoy working on a small team and are comfortable working independently in the office. You are a friendly, easy-to-work with individual, willing to assist with any task and understand the importance of professional service where customer service and confidentiality is critical.
