A little about the business: CSS Farms, a multi-state agricultural business, strives to provide innovative solutions and superior quality and service to our customers. Our three main business segments include chip potato, seed potato and specialty potato production.

What you would be doing: The Farm Mechanic supports the Equipment Manager and Farm Manager in sustaining productive and economic farm operations by performing standard and advanced diagnostics, repair and maintenance on all farm equipment including but not limited to tractors, implements, engines and facilities.

Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. Must possess the physical body dexterity and coordination to bend, squat, twist, and crouch to achieve angle and positions required to perform various repairs. Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with the operation and repair of both gasoline and diesel engines. Demonstrated knowledge of and experience working with hydraulic operation and repairs as related to pumps, controls, and transmission components. Demonstrated knowledge of and experience working with electricity and components as it is related to equipment or machinery. Demonstrated knowledge of and/or the ability to learn about occupational hazards and safety precautions.

Commodity Risk Advisor – Entry Level for Roach Ag. Marketing

A little about the business: Roach Ag. Marketing is an independent, full-service commodity advisory firm founded in 1978 to help farmers do a better job of marketing their crops and livestock. Roach Ag. spent its first 21 years in Perry, Iowa, before moving its’ headquarters to Boca Raton, Florida. What you would be doing: Entry level advisors will learn all aspects of the sales function including telephone skills, branding tools, market analysis and sales strategy in a commodity driven environment.  Most advisors will think about our position as a hybrid between a stock broker, accountant and salesperson.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in agricultural business preferred but not required; Communications, business and other majors can also be successful. Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above. Must enjoy working in an office environment, hours on the phone while learning markets while teaching the company strategy to U.S. farmers. Must be internally motivated and able to work independently • Work experience involving customer relations is a plus, but not required. Successful completion of the series 3 trading exam within 1 year of completing the training program.

Department Supervisor for Foster Farms

What you would be doing: Oversees, coordinates and maintains facilities for all Agfinity retail sites. Technician is expected to be capable of performing repairs and periodic services to equipment in the following categories: Minor electrical, gasoline, plumbing, general mechanical the maintenance and cleaning of property.

Qualifications: HS Diploma or GED required. Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in a facility maintenance field required. Prior light mechanical experience required.
