Diesel Mechanic – Equipment Operator for Gernaat Dairy

A little about the business: Gernaat Dairy, LLC is a family-owned, 4,000-head dairy with two locations located around Falmouth, MI (20 miles east of Cadillac, MI). We pride ourselves on operating a progressive dairy farm offering high quality milk to our customers. Our team prides itself on working together to be a solid, efficient and well-organized team.

What you would be doing: You would perform weekly preventative maintenance on all equipment, diagnose and repair equipment on both dairies and in the fields, as needed. You will also be operating equipment as needed around the dairy and in the fields. This would be the perfect opportunity for you if you are detail oriented, like to be hands-on and want to be part of a highly-functioning team.

Qualifications: Enjoy being around a progressive operation and utilizing technology, GPS/autosteer. Have prior experience working on farm equipment. Have prior agriculture, farming and/or ranch experience and are comfortable operating heavy equipment.

Commodity Branch Manager for Roach Ag. Marketing

A little about the business: Roach Ag. Marketing is an independent, full-service commodity advisory firm founded in 1978 to help farmers do a better job of marketing their crops and livestock. Our Professional Staff has over 200 years of combined experience in the futures industry to draw upon. Although our advisors are authorized to trade all commodities, we specialize in corn, soybeans, wheat, cattle and hog futures as well as agriculture commodity options.

What you would be doing: The ideal person will oversee commodity advisor trading, consulting and new hire training and development. The branch manager will have budgetary and P/L responsibility for location specific operations, including new hire start up budgets and insuring yearly trading and consulting targets are met in a variety of market conditions. 

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (preferably in accounting or a finance related field) or equivalent industry-related experience; plus 2-5 years of financial services industry experience a plus but not absolutely required. Sound large company experience a plus in investment and or trading is critical to the high wage earners potential. Familiarity with compliance, financial, and accounting quality assurance. Knowledge of human resource procedures and regulations is a must including managing annual healthcare agreements, LTD and STD policies along with all HR related spending.

Agronomy Sales Manager for Frenchman Valley Coop

Qualifications: A two-year college degree and 5-10 years’ experience in a related field. Sales Management experience a plus.

Farm Manager for Maschhoff West LLC

What you would be doing: The Maschhoffs is currently seeking a breed-to-wean Sow Farm Manager in Paxton, Nebraska. Qualifications: High School diploma required. Bachelor of Science in Animal Science, Agriculture or related field preferred. Five years management experience required. Bachelor’s degree may be substituted for two years of management experience. Knowledge of Livestock/swine management and handling, and standard maintenance procedures.
