Loan Officer for GreenStone Farm Credit Services

A little about the business: GreenStone Farm Credit Services is an $8 billion financial services institution with 500 employees in 36 locations throughout Michigan and Northeast Wisconsin. GreenStone provides short term and long-term credit to our customers, as well as a variety of other products and services, such as crop insurance, life and disability insurance, accounting services, tax planning and preparation, and appraisals.

What you would be doing: We are currently hiring for a Loan Officer to join our team to be based in either Alma or Lakeview, MI.  In this role, your primary responsibility is to provide lending and financing to our rural customers with small hobby farms, land loans, and large acreage house loans servicing both Alma & Lakeview locations (about 35 miles apart).  You will be the personal banker for customers to walk them through the loan process, lending terms, and borrowing options.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, agriculture, finance, accounting or related field. 3-5 years of experience in the consumer credit or agriculture industry. Basic knowledge of loan products and services, credit operations and government lending regulations. General knowledge of farm production methods and products. Registration in the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry (NMLS) is required.

Precision Ag Associate for South Dakota Wheat Growers

A little about the business:  South Dakota Wheat Growers is an innovative grain and agronomy cooperative with more than 5,400 active member-owners in eastern North and South Dakota. Despite the name, our members now grow more corn and soybeans than they do wheat. Wheat Growers markets approximately 160 million bushels annually – and has been serving member-owners with pride and integrity since 1923.

What you would be doing:  The Precision Ag Associate will aid in the day to day operation of the Innovation Center Precision Ag Department and Innovation Center Parts Department through sales, service, installation of hardware and parts, maintaining inventory, training and assisting external as well as internal customers. 

Qualifications: Associate’s Degree (A.A) or equivalent from two-college or technical school; or one year to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Sales background strongly preferred.

Irrigation Tech for PRIDE Industries

What you would be doing: Under general supervision, the Irrigation Technician installs repairs and maintains the irrigations systems for a customer contract. Qualifications: High School Diploma or G.E.D. Three or more years of experience in related occupation involving sprinkler irrigation installation, repair and maintenance. Ability to use relevant hand tools and equipment. Knowledge of basic hydraulics, tools and parts, including a variety of piping materials such as PVC/plastic, metal, copper and ABS. Knowledge of safe operation of construction and landscaping industrial equipment.

Assistant Farm Manager for Parabel USA Inc.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agri-Business, Agronomy, Biology, Plant Crop Science or related field. Minimum 1-3 years’ experience managing farm production systems and supervising farm crews. Working knowledge of general food regulations and food safety fundamentals.
