What you would be doing: Crop management. Plan which cash crops will be planted on which fields annually and on a 3 – 4-year rotation. Assist in the development of the master plan for the annual and 3 – 4-year rotation of all the WG owned and leased farms. Plan and implement the annual, weekly, daily schedule for weeding, cultivating and irrigation. Oversee the fertility program and IPM for our fields and more.

Qualifications: Applicable bachelor’s degree, 5-7 years related agriculture experience. Private pesticide applicator license. Strong communication skills. Positive initiative and self-motivation. Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects independently.

Territory Sales Manager for Pacific Southwest Irrigation

You will navigate each project by partnering with our internal irrigation design engineer and installation managers.

Qualifications: You have prior sales experience or an interest in sales and have a passion for agriculture. You thrive on building and maintaining relationships and are motivated by customer satisfaction. You are comfortable traveling throughout the territory (mostly day travel).

Precision Ag services (including GIS/GPS information). Detailed computerized field reports & permanent record keeping. Crop budgeting & planning. Research and develop new farming techniques to increase yields and quality at reduced cost. Research and develop new seed sources and growing techniques such as hydroponic, aeroponics, soilless cultivation.

Qualifications: Master’s Degree and/or Doctorate in Agriculture with emphasis in plant breeding and genetics. Five plus years of experience in crop improvement/breeding, agronomy, crop, soil and weed management. Demonstrated experience in production agriculture business, budgets, and planning. Experience in onion seed breeding preferred.

Qualifications: Graduate of high school, trade, or industrial school. 5 years of experience with operation, installation, repair, modification and maintenance of Naval HM&E or Electronic systems and equipment. 3 years of experience in the supervision of technical support for Alteration/SC installation, maintenance and repair of HM&E ship systems.
