What you would be doing:

This position is an integral part of our team that is responsible for selling and servicing crop insurance products to farms on a needs basis. Our Crop Insurance Agents also assist in the development and implementation of crop insurance sales plans and provide technical guidance and product support to the Customer Teams in assigned regions. The incumbent may also be asked to conduct individual and group product educational demonstrations.


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, agriculture or related field.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in the agriculture or in the insurance field with an agriculture background.
  • Must acquire and maintain an insurance license for crop insurance sales and meet all State and Federal annual requirements.
  • 40-50% daytime travel within assigned territory.

Maintenance – Millwright – Operations for Archer Coop Grain Co.

What you would be doing:

  • Perform required maintenance as instructed by supervisor to include all facilities, grounds, vehicles, equipment in whole or part.
  • Operate cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts. Weld parts together using wire or arch welders.
  • Order shop parts as needed with approval from supervisor.
  • Examine vehicles to determine malfunction and repairs desired.
  • Receiving and unloading grain operations as needed.
  • Grain drying operations – pre-harvest and in season maintenance.


  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).  Ag related background/training and/or equivalent background.
  • Valid state motor vehicle operator’s license with the expectation to achieve a Class A Commercial Driver’s license (CDL) within 1 year of employment.
  • Maintain a current DOT physical.
  • Maintain a clean driving record.
  • Ag background preferred.

Mechanic – Farm for Lanehaven Farms

What you would be doing: 

  • Maintain and adhere to a preventive maintenance schedule for all vehicles and machines.
  • Be responsible for keeping all vehicles and machines clean inside and out.
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and ensure compliance with all DOT regulations.
  • Rigorously and thoroughly prepare all equipment for future seasonal work to minimize in-season repairs.
  • Assist with management of precision farming technology deployment and data capture management.
  • Maintain safety features on all portable equipment and the shop, including warning labels, slow-moving vehicle signs, PTO shields, gravity stops, etc. and help eliminate farm hazards as they are discovered or reported.


  • 2-year degree preferably in Agriculture Power and Equipment (Ag Power), Diesel Truck Technology, Agricultural Equipment Technology
  • Valid driver’s license and no SR-22 insurance
  • Previous experience operating farm equipment, preferably including a Class A CDL
  • Previous experience working on diesel trucks, which could include time spent in the following roles: Diesel Mechanic, Maintenance Technician, Field Service Technician, Ag Equipment Tech, Agricultural Equipment Mechanic
  • Class A CDL – can obtain after hire, if needed
  • Pesticide Applicators Certification – can obtain after hire, if needed
