Product Manager for KWS

A little about the business: KWS is one of the most innovative and long-established plant breeding and seed companies worldwide. For more than 150 years, they have been breeding and marketing high performance varieties for the modern farmer. Their key crops are sugar beet, corn, and cereals as well as oil seed crops and potatoes. They are looking for a Product Manager for their Soft Red Wheat portfolio in their KWS Cereals division, located in Champaign, Illinois.

What you would be doing: As the Product Manager, you would be leading the product advancement efforts for the entire Soft Red Wheat portfolio through showcasing their value proposition to their customers and utilizing best in practice marketing. Some of your responsibilities would include ensuring products are produced according to design, quality, and price specifications, developing relationships with key stakeholders within the research and advisory system, and driving the interest for farmers to grow Soft Red Wheat by hosting events.

Qualifications: BA/BS or equivalent in breeding or related scientific fields with professional experience, or minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in crop improvement, variety development, and commercial practices, proven product management technical background and experience in seed business, and strong computer skills.

Vice President of Commercial Lending for GreenStone Farm Credit Services

A little about the business: Greenstone is an over $8 billion financial services institution with 500 employees in 36 locations throughout Michigan and Northeast Wisconsin. Greenstone provides short-term and long-term credit to their customers, as well as a variety of other products and services, such as crop insurance. They are looking for a Vice President of Commercial Lending to join their team in either Grand Rapids or Traverse City, Michigan.

What you would be doing: As the Vice President of Commercial Lending, you would manage a portfolio that consists of fruit and vegetable growers, wineries, and food processors. You would be encouraged to explore new commercial lending possibilities. Some of your responsibilities would include providing customer relationship management, meeting with current and potential loan customers, and analyzing and evaluating financial statues, risk assessment, and collateral evaluation to determine feasibility of granting loan request.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a business/finance or agriculture related field, 5+ years of lending experience with diversified credit, and previous experience in agriculture credit and operations as well as a commercial lending environment.

Swine Farm Technician for Licht Pork & Plow, Inc

A little about the business: Licht Pork & Plow, Inc is a family owned swine, corn and soybean operation located in northwest Iowa, south of Ayrshire, Iowa.  Their farm currently owns 7,300 head of hogs, and contract feeds 8,800 head. They also grow corn and soybeans. They are looking for a full-time Swine Farm Technician to join their team in their wean-to-finish operation as well as assist with the crops.

What you would be doing: As the Swine Farm Technician, you would be responsible for the daily care for swine from wan to finish, maintenance of barn including electrical, structural, and equipment repair, and assisting with the crop side including hauling grain, operating tractors, and helping in other areas from plant through harvest.

Qualifications: Prior swine experience is strongly preferred, willing to train an individual who has worked in other areas of agriculture, PQA and TQA certification, and Class A CDL is required.

Agriculture Office Manager for Hunter Nutrition

A little about the business: Hunter Nutrition is a specialized feed manufacturer located in Brookston, IN. They manufacture top quality texturized, pelleted, and mineral/premix feeds at their 58,000-sq. ft. plant. They are looking for an Agriculture Office Manager to join their team.

What you would be doing: As the Office Manager, you would have a varied role in both management and sales within their feed company. Some of your responsibilities would include assisting with office duties, general daily management, assisting with feed formulas, and both inside and outside sales of their products.

Qualifications: Must have prior agriculture/agribusiness experience, BS degree, and 2+ years’ experience managing an office. Quickbooks accounting software experience and Microsoft Office experience is a plus.

Field Service Supervisor for TOMRA

A little about the business: TOMRA Sorting Solutions is a multi-national organization and a leading provider of sensor based sorting and processing technology for the fresh and processed food industries. They are looking for a Field Service Supervisor to join their team based in West Sacramento, California.

What you would be doing: As the Field Service Supervisor, you would be the on-site lead for installs and repairs as well as working hands-on alongside your team or service technicians. Some of your responsibilities would include leading the onsite installation and maintenance on sorting and canning equipment, delivering excellent customer service to both external and internal customers, traveling to customer sites as needed to resolve technical issues, and mentoring and training new workers.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in electrical, electronic, mechanical, mechatronics, sustainable manufacturing, or industrial engineering is preferred, project management experience, and experience in field service, customer service, and electronic system troubleshooting.
