Senior Manager, Sales & Merchandising for The Andersons

A little about the business: The Andersons, Inc. is a diversified company with interests in the grain, ethanol and plant nutrient sectors of U.S. agriculture, as well as in railcar leasing and repair, turf products production, and general merchandise retailing. Founded in Maumee, Ohio, in 1947, the company now has operations in 14 U.S. states and Puerto Rico, plus rail equipment leasing interests in Canada and Mexico. They are looking for a Senior Manager for their Greenville, Ohio location.

What you would be doing: This position is accountable for the overall strategy, development, organization, leadership, and evaluation of a comprehensive, effective plan to originate grain for all territory profit centers in order to achieve established volume and gross profit targets.  Additionally, this position oversees the collaborative efforts of Central Merchandising and Farm to Market Merchandising (F2M) in the assigned territory.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Ag Economics or other related field and 7-10 years of experience in agribusiness including sales, farm production, grain originations, marketing, and management.

Soil Sampling Manager for Ag Info Tech

A little about the business: Ag Info Tech is dedicated to providing its customers with the highest quality Precision Ag Products and Services available. They are looking for a Soil Sampling Manager to join their team in Fredericktown, Ohio.

What you would be doing: As the Soil Sampling Manager, some of your responsibilities would include working with the information services manager and data services manager, organizing sample orders, routing soil samplers, monitoring the soil samplers, and keeping records.

Qualifications: Experience with precision ag and soil sampling.

Senior Service Technician for Green Valley Irrigation

A little about the business: Green Valley Irrigation, Inc. is a family owned, Valley irrigation dealership based in Atkinson, NE. They are proud to have 40 years of deep-rooted knowledge in the business with a customer-focused team bringing the latest irrigation technology and equipment to our customers. They are looking for a Senior Service Technician to join their team in Atkinson, Nebraska.

What you would be doing: As the Senior Service Technician, you would provide quality customer service while utilizing mechanical abilities to service, repair, recondition, and assemble customer’s new or used irrigation in the field. Some of your responsibilities would include troubleshooting, diagnosing, and conducting mechanical repairs, working directly with farm growers to communicate repairs made, working on mechanical and electrical components, and completing service reports.

Qualifications: 5 + years’ mechanic and electrical experience, preferably in Ag irrigation, a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and the ability to communicate clearly with customers in agriculture, management, and other employees and provide exceptional and professional customer service.

Maintenance Engineering Planner for Florida Crystals

A little about the business: Florida Crystals is a leading domestic sugar producer and North America’s first fully integrated cane sugar company, guiding our sugar from the field to the table.  They are America’s first and only producer of certified organic sugar, grown and harvested in the United States. They are looking for a Maintenance Engineering Planner to join their team.

What you would be doing: As the Maintenance Engineering Planner, you would report to the Director of Industrial Shops and be responsible for the oversight of work flow, reporting and budgeting of all agriculture related equipment and maintenance shop functions.

Qualifications: A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.  Agriculture, Industrial or Mechanical Degree preferred, 3-5 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance, experience with equipment reliability improvement, precision ag and GIS, continuous improvement, budgeting and inventory, and experience with SAP and BI preferred.

Sales Director for Nourse Farms

A little about the business: Nourse Farms is a leader in the production, preparation, growth and sale of premium quality small fruit plant stock. They also pick, grow, harvest and market wholesale and retail fruit.  Their number one objective is to present the best quality product for sale to their customer. Located in the Pioneer Valley of Western Massachusetts, they farm on over 800 acres of prime river bottom land in the towns of Hatfield, Whately, Deerfield, Montague and Northfield. They are looking for a Sales Director to join their team.

What you would be doing: As the Sales Director, you would work directly with their customers which range from wholesale commercial growers to catalog plant stock customers to individuals that place orders through their website. You would be both the point of contact for sales and also the technical resource on variety capabilities and growing conditions of their plant stock. You would be working closely with the President and General Manager leading their growth initiatives for the organization.  This role does include some travel to grower sites, customers, trades shows and other industry meetings both nationally and internationally.

Qualifications: Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in agricultural business management, horticulture, crop and soil science, plant pathology, agri marketing , sales or finance or equivalent combination of education and experience, minimum of 10+ years of agricultural sales and management experience, and minimum 5+ year’s in a supervisory or management position in a sales environment with proven ability to manage, develop and mentor staff.
