What you would be doing: 

  • Establishing realistic sales objectives by category.
  • Recommend to the Territory Sales Director merchandising and advertising to effectively maintain the parts budget.
  • Establishing a competitive parts pricing policy while maximizing margins and profits.
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction by maintaining an efficient level of inventory.
  • Build and maintain good working relationships with other departments in the dealerships to sustain an orderly flow.
  • Coordinate and work with Service Manager and Territory Sales Director on parts issues and or systems.

Qualifications: 

  • Degree in business or related field or previous experience as a Parts Manager.
  • Organizational ability and knowledge of parts.
  • Leadership, tact and knowledge in assigning and instructing personnel.
  • Basic understanding of accounting systems and procedures.
  • Demonstrates effective planning and time management skills.
  • Proven ability to maintain customer relationships and cultivate new customers for future growth.
  • Understanding the organization structure and philosophy.

Cattle Manager for Smith Cattle Co.

A little about the business: Welcome to Smith Cattle Co. We have a large cattle feedlot and provide cattle transportation while farming and hauling hay and grain. We are located in Lewisville, Idaho which is about 20 minutes north of Idaho Falls. We are always looking for ways to improve ourselves and our company. Our team is made up of individuals who are dedicated to the safety and well-being of others and the livestock we care for.

What you would be doing: 

  • Occasional pen riding
  • Perform prescribed treatments for detected illness and injury in livestock.
  • Organize and manage feedlot projects which includes fixing water troughs, fixing fences, processing cattle, pen cleaning, and more
  • Manage cattle medicine inventory.
  • Manage cattle shipping / receiving information.
  • Create and uphold Standard Operating Procedures. 

Qualifications: 

  • Cattle management, Finnish cattle, and pen riding experience.
  • Your own horse(s) (max 3) – we feed them.
  • Ability to problem solve, understand, and use computer software.

What you would be doing: 

  • Develop close professional working relationships with Growers to support their learning and development
  • Collaborate with Growers to get ahead of consumption issues, mortality, thin shells, yolk colors, and any other critical issues that could impact our Growers
  • Listen to Grower needs and concerns and diplomatically solve challenges
  • Follow the stakeholder model with our growers, suppliers, and crew members
  • Must be an excellent member of the Grower Support team, staying in close contact with other crew members to share best practices, support each other and our Growers
  • Utilize professional communication skills both on the phone and in person

  • Knowledge of poultry industry & Certified Humane standards preferred

Truck Operator for Kjergaard Family Farms

A little about the business: Welcome to Kjergaard Family Farms! We’re a family-owned and operated 4th generation farm located in west central Iowa. We farm 8,000 acres of row crops, CRP and hay along with a small cattle feed yard. We are passionate about agriculture, our crops, animals, and the work we do each day. 

What you would be doing:

  • Operating newer and well-maintained farm equipment hauling grain by semi-truck.
  • Routine service and repairs to various grain handling equipment. 
  • Assist in all areas of the farms harvest operation as needed.

Qualifications: 

  • Prior experience in farming / agriculture operating heavy equipment.
  • Prior experience driving semi-truck with a good driving record.
  • Basic mechanical ability to work on equipment.
  • Ability to work extended hours during the busy season.

Qualifications: 

  • Academic degree in economics/business/agricultural science or management.
  • Prior relevant experience in the agricultural – farming industry

  • Project-oriented with excellent time management skills and awareness of deadlines
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including experience in using excel for budgeting and analysis
  • Strong ethics and trustworthiness 
  • To be based in the Los Angeles area with the ability to travel to California’s San Joaquin Valley area as needed
