What you would be doing: 

  • Company Food Safety/HACCP Program- become certified as a HACCP Manager.
  • Third Party food safety audits.
  • Daily facility sanitation programs.
  • Weekly food safety testing.
  • Food Safety Training programs.
  • Food safety reporting.

Qualifications: 

  • Associate degree or 3 years’ experience in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or Science.
  • Experience with Microsoft suite of software and good computer skills.
  • Experience with Food Safety audits preferred but not required. Will train.
  • Ability to work extended hours as needed.

What you would be doing: 

  • Evaluate financial performance across the organization. Prepare monthly and annual forecasting and revenue modeling by operation and company interest.
  • Identify areas for cost savings and maximization of profit.
  • Prepare ad hoc business analysis to support the growth and strategic decision making of the business.
  • Work to understand the various business processes with each entity; spending time to understand each divisions’ challenges and factors affecting costs and revenues.
  • Map all processes in SAP and develop protocols for application at different business units improving internal controls
  • Work to build relationships across the organization to gain the cooperation of individuals and drive standardization of processes

Qualifications: 

  • Experience and/or strong familiarity with the agriculture industry
  • 5-7+ years relatable experience in data analytics, revenue modeling and statistical analysis
  • Strong experience in an ERP system, strong preference for SAP S4 Hana
  • Strong ability to effectively translate analytical findings into meaningful data with actionable solutions
  • Comfort with fast-paced, dynamic business with significant amount of variables
  • Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred in economics, finance or relatable field
  • Willingness for light travel to TX and FL (5% of time)

Sales Agronomist for Agtegra Cooperative

A little about the business: Welcome to Agtegra Cooperative! We’re a 60-location cooperative serving 6,400 growers in North and South Dakota. We’re hiring a Sales Agronomist to join our Chamberlain, SD team. This role is responsible for managing and growing sales with current and prospective customers, with a focus on relationship development. You’d serve customers with agronomic recommendations and the sale of fertilizer, chemicals, seed and precision ag services, including real-time satellite imagery, variable rate applications and seeding, and management zone-based analytics. We specialize in taking the mystery out of precision agriculture and turning it into an effective management strategy.

What you would be doing: 

  • Promotes and coordinates the sales of Crop Nutrients, Seed, Crop Protection, Precision Ag, and Services as well as other products offered. 
  • Assists customers in establishing crop production practices to maximize yield.
  • Conducts sales calls to determine what motivates customers to buy and ascertain how Agtegra can satisfy needs with products and services.
  • Examines results of crop production studies to discover and enhance characteristics such as yield, quality, adaptation to specific soils or climates, and resistance to diseases and pests.
  • Develops a strong working relationship with local supplier representatives to help support their products.
  • Develops a strong working relationship with location manager and personnel to maximize customer service and teamwork.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agriculture or related field preferred; or 5-6 years of sales experience in the agricultural industry in seed, crop protection, nutrients, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Crop Advisor Certification (CCA) and/or CDL are beneficial.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
