What you would be doing: 

  • Develop and monitor to adjust the market strategy to grow the territory. 
  • Work directly with large growers and distributors to provide education, product performance and ROI. 
  • Monitor our product portfolio against the competitors in the area and target market.
  • Provide seamless communication with the organization based in New Jersey.
  • Track customer communication and sales activity in the CRM.
  • Conduct new equipment field demonstrations

Qualifications: 

  • Strong experience and understanding of agriculture within California
  • Prior ag sales experience; open on your sales background from being in any area such as precision ag technology, PCA/CCA, agronomy sales, water management, etc.
  • Ability to work a territory independently and ability to develop a distribution channel
  • Preferably a bachelor’s degree in agri-business, agriculture, agronomy, crop and soil sciences, plant pathology or related field

HACCP Coordinator for Central Valley Ag (CVA)

A little about the business: Central Valley Ag (CVA) is a member-owned farmers’ cooperative headquartered in York, NE with locations throughout Nebraska, Kansas and Iowa. Established in 2003, CVA has over 900 employees and is an innovative leader providing products and services in grain, agronomy, feed, and energy.

What you would be doing: 

  • Development, implementation, maintenance, and validation of the Company’s HACCP Program. 
  • Monitoring and auditing the Company’s HACCP Program for each Feed Location 
  • Development and implementation of HACCP training and certification for specific Company employees and management 
  • Development, monitoring and maintenance of supporting programs such as foreign material control and standard operating procedures (SOPs) 
  • Perform HACCP audits and inspect facilities, machinery, and equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure regulatory compliance 
  • Provide technical advice, coaching, guidance, and mentoring to employees on HACCP initiatives, changes and committees 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree (B. S.) or equivalent from four-year college  
  • 3-4 years’ experience in a progressively responsible HACCP related position.  
  • Leadership aptitude and effective communication skills.  
  • Strong work ethic.  
  • Valid state motor vehicle operator’s license.  
  • Class A CDL with Haz-Mat, Tanker and Air Brakes Endorsement a plus

Farm Hand for Conrad Farms

Grain Merchandising Manager for Central Valley Ag (CVA)

What you would be doing: 

  • Oversee the daily merchandising of corn, soybeans, Milo and rail freight merchandised at Central Valley Ag York and grain margin management of these commodities.
  • Evaluation of the abilities of each team member to provide training and leadership that empowers each member to lead their core area of responsibility.
  • Maintains a thorough knowledge of market values, rail freight rates, car costs, and truck freight rates to assist each merchandiser in establishing the company wide merchandising strategy for each commodity.
  • Develops and manages programs to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of the company’s grain presence and works with company personnel to increase producer grain origination.
  • Evaluates risks and returns to find the correct balance and takes appropriate positions regarding basis and spread positions.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies and/or or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software; be fluent in the use of E-Mail. The individual must be open to learn new computer technologies as they become available.
  • Integrity and good judgment skills required.
  • Must be able to multi-task, establish job priorities and consistently meet internal and external deadlines.
  • Must have the ability to research and prepare analysis to respond to internal and external inquiries in a timely, professional and thorough manner.
  • Valid driver’s license.
