Parts Counter Salesperson for Everglades Farm Equipment

A little about the business: Everglades Farm Equipment a family-owned business that started in 1963 serving the agricultural industry around Lake Okeechobee and have grown to 12 locations covering South and Central Florida. We serve a wide range of customers from some of the largest agricultural producers of sugar, citrus and vegetables to individual farmers, nurseries, and commercial landscape management companies as well as large and small property owners. 

What you would be doing: 

  • Look up and ordering of Parts for John Deere equipment using JDPOINT ordering system & PMPRO catalog system.
  • Look up and ordering of Parts for Other Vendors using their website catalogs.
  • Sells & orders parts required to fill customer needs using PFW business system.
  • Promotes and sells products and/or services to meet customer needs.
  • Supplies Service Technicians with parts as required.

Qualifications: 

  • Basic data entry/keyboarding skills.
  • Basic machinery knowledge.
  • Parts Educate – Required to have 20 credits per year of John Deere training as well as training requested by their Parts Manager.
  • Ability to use the JD Pathways /John Deere Parts Catalog computer application and Vendor Websites for parts look up and ordering.
  • High School diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Forklift license required.

Marketing Content Specialist for BioWorks Inc.

What you would be doing: 

  • Positions BioWorks as a thought leader and trusted advisor by producing and publishing relevant and timely content
  • Produces and updates editorial calendars, crop calendars and other guidelines to ensure content is relevant and timely. Operates with a proactive mindset producing content well ahead of publication dates to ensure time for review and edits
  • Produces a wide variety of content that can repurposed in multiple outlets
  • Ensures content is accurate and applicable by working with multiple departments including sales, regulatory and technical services
  • Assists sales and marketing teams with various collateral needs including: sells sheets, brochures, public relations, ads, campaigns, promotions, etc.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree desired; Associate’s degree with equivalent job experience may be considered
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in marketing communications
  • Horticulture or agriculture background or experience
  • Some graphic design experience a plus
  • Video and photography experience a plus

  • Perform all job functions within the warehouse including loading/unloading trailers, moving pallets of product, palletizing product, picking orders and completing documentation.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area and workstations neat/clean and complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
  • Complete shipping, receiving and inspection documents neatly and accurately.
  • Monitor and maintain quality of inventory and blended product.
  • Blend products as prescribed and/or generate blends.
  • Load and unload trucks.

Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain forklift certification
  • Must be able to perform simple math problems related to order counts and inventory management
  • Must be able to meet certain physical requirements including standing, squatting, bending and lifting up to 55 lbs. repeatedly
  • Must be able to work overtime and weekends
  • Must be able to wear safety glasses and safety boots
  • Have or ability to obtain a Class A CDL

  • Complete service reports, order parts, and maintain clear customer records.
  • Assist customers and always providing the best customer service.
  • Attend applicable training events/seminars.
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.

Qualifications: 

  • 2+ years in service, repair, and maintenance of agriculture, farm, diesel, construction and/or heavy equipment or similar equipment.
  • knowledge of shop equipment and diagnostic equipment, strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Self-starter and motivated individual.

  • Scout key grower fields
  • Track scouting progress for growers and follow-up on critical issues
  • Prepare for, manage and schedule soil sample in the Illinois region
  • Set soil sample points in company system(s) with the Precision Agronomist
  • Collect soil samples both throughout the growing season
  • Deliver and/or arrange delivery of soil samples to laboratories

Qualifications: 

  • Associates degree or four years’ experience in agronomy related field
  • On farm experience and/or experience with pulling a trailer.
