A little about the farm: Trembling Prairie Farms is a family owned farm operation. They grow a variety of vegetable crops in Wisconsin and Montana, including red onions, specialty potatoes, and pinto beans. They are looking for a full time farm manager for their Kinsey, Montana location. Kinsey is located in Custer County near the Yellowstone River and is about 15 miles north of Miles City.
What you would be doing: As the farm manager, you would be responsible for managing the location and other full-time employees. You would also work alongside the owner to manage approximately 500 acres.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, at least two years of vegetable growing experience, and an understanding of agronomy/agronomic practices. Trembling Prairie Farms offers a competitive compensation package and relocation assistance is available.
A little about the farm: Isler Genetics is a family owned swine and grain operation. They are a commercial farrow-to-finish operation with 1200 sows along. Isler Genetics is known for their world class breeding swine production. They also have 2800 acres of grain and their own feed mill and are located in Prospect, Ohio.
What you would be doing: As the Swine Farrowing Manager, you would be responsible for the daily management and care of all farrowing facilities. This would be a very hands-on role, requiring you to work with piglet care, breeding, record keeping, and maintaining clean facilities.
Qualifications: High school diploma, knowledge of swine husbandry, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
A little about the business: Green Line Equipment is a John Deere dealership with nine locations in central and north central Nebraska. They are looking for a full-time service technician for their Albion location.
What you would be doing: As a Service Manager, you would conduct mechanical repairs on irrigation systems, communicate with farm growers about repairs and available products, and complete service reports.
Qualifications: 2-3 years’ experience, ability to work year round, and the ability to communicate with their customers in agriculture and management.
A little about the farm: Bella-Dew Recipients is a family owned farm that specializes in embryo to live calf production. They are located in De Pere, Wisconsin. They currently have 2100 heifers and produce around 1200 calves a year.
What you would be doing: As a full-time Calving Herdsman/Feeder, you would monitor animal bedding and housing needs, monitor health, welfare, and disease control throughout the day, monitor the calves, and work closely with the owner and veterinarian.
Qualifications: Must be able to operate farm equipment, be able to lift up to 50lbs, and be able to work in outdoor conditions year round.
A little about the farm: Stoy Farms is a family owned farming operation that produces corn and soybeans. They are located in Ashley, Indiana. Ashley is in northeastern Indiana, not far from Ohio and Michigan and about 40 miles north of Fort Wayne, Indiana.
What you would be doing: As the Finance and Business Manager, you would be responsible for managing the financial operations, providing input and support to managers and owners, and achieving planned results.
Qualifications: A four-year degree in accounting, business management, or finance, strong skills in time management and organization, and the ability to think strategically.
