What you would be doing: 

  • Maintain the current established client portfolio and look to build the size of ‘wallet spend’
  • Work with sales leadership in the establishment and use of product price decision making variables.
  • Research and identify new sales opportunities.
  • Develop clear and effective written proposals or quotes for current and prospective customers.
  • Develop accurate quarterly and annual sales forecasts focused on crops grown for the region.
  • Supply management with oral and written reports about customers’ needs, problems, interests and offers from competitor’s pertinent market intelligence.


  • Bachelor’s degree in horticulture, agronomy, plant nutrition or other life sciences
  • Ten years or more experience in the agricultural crop protection industry & a track record of success in field sales.
  • Proven working relationships with distribution at all levels.
  • Proven ability to work with crop advisors.
  • Experience in contract negotiation and demonstrated success in an agricultural product sales role.
  • Demonstrate the ability to problem-solve and determine solutions for customers.
  • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to speak knowledgeably while presenting product information to both small and large groups.
  • A knowledge of Microsoft Office, SAP and CRM tools.
  • Ability to work within budget, expenses and time constraints.
  • Self-motivated with strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal relationships

Shop Foreman & Equipment Operator for Northtree Ranch

What you would be doing: 

  • Conduct maintenance and repair of farm equipment, implements, heavy equipment, pumps and trucks.
  • Prioritize and schedule maintenance projects in coordination with field work and harvest schedule.
  • Build and execute maintenance plans and record keeping in compliance with C.A.R.B. and B.I.T.
  • Manage the shop and inventory along with ordering spare parts and ensuring critical parts are on-hand during peak season.
  • Operate equipment during field tillage, harvesting, mowing rice fields and applying herbicides.
  • Assist with irrigation including pipeline installation, box installation, field drainage, etc.
  • Clean equipment daily and maintain an orderly shop and safe work environment.
  • Perform general grounds maintenance including mowing, fencing, tree trimming, etc.


  • Must have valid California Driver’s License
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently
  • Must be able to perform maintenance and repair on trucks and equipment
  • Experience with welding and fabrication and willingness to learn aluminum and stainless-steel welding
  • Must maintain a smoke-free workplace and respectful use of other tobacco products

  • Bachelor’s Degree within Business, Finance, or related majors preferred.
  • 1+ Years’ experience in the agriculture field or in the insurance field with an agricultural background.
  • Must acquire and maintain an insurance license for crop insurance sales, meet all State and Federal annual requirements, and be qualified as a sales person of all crop insurance products offered by GreenStone.
  • Proficiency in computer technology and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to successfully communicate verbally and written.

Regional Agronomy Sales Manager for Stine Seed

What you would be doing: 

  • Learn and understand day-to-day needs and issues of assigned ISRs through regular communication and by spending a minimum of 3 days a month in the territory with the ISR.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough agronomic and technical knowledge of Stine seed products and services applicable to the assigned territory
  • Assist ISRs in the development and management of key prospect lists, new dealers, direct grower recruitment, and monitor their progress toward stated goals
  • Organize and lead regional meetings
  • Assist with development, design, planting and harvest of Yield in the Field (YIF) plots.
  • Understand and implement marketing initiatives while driving key products and services in key target markets 
  • Communicate and implement Stine’s sales programs and policies within the assigned territory in order to meet sales goals for the district


  • Three or more years of sales experience in agronomy, crop health and/or seed
  • Prior success leading a sales team 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of proven sales techniques and an ability to coach
  • Demonstrated initiative and the ability to work with multiple team members to meet established goals
