A little about the business: We are a 15 location John Deere dealership network in South Western Michigan and Northern Indiana. We have been providing sales and service to farmers, commercial business, large property owners and homeowners. What you would be doing: You will be focused on maximizing the overall performance of the store location by leading sales and operations. You will be leading a team of 3 agricultural equipment and turf sales reps while managing your own established accounts. You will be wearing many hats, overseeing facility appearance, managing vendors, as well as optimizing work flow within the store. You will be ensuring accurate staffing levels across departments as well as fostering internal relationships between departments.

Qualifications: 

  • Strong knowledge in sales and store operations ideally in either agriculture, construction, lawn & garden equipment or heavy equipment
  • A strong communicator that enforces and monitors effective processes to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Experience in project management, vendor management and working closely with cross-functional teams/projects

Sprayer Applicator for Friesen Farms

A little about the business: We’re a large family owned, and operated farm located in Northwest Kansas. We grow wheat, soybeans, corn and milo on over 10,000 acres of dry and irrigated ground.  We take pride in the land we farm and enjoy seeing it through from start to finish. What you would be doing: In this role, you will be the main individual responsible for all activities surrounding our agronomy spray program. You will be blending chemicals, ensuring correct rates, operating the sprayer, maintaining spray records and ensuring accurate levels of chemical inventory.  During the off-season, you will be performing light maintenance and assisting in all areas of the farm.

Qualifications: 

  • Strong experience in agriculture operating heavy equipment; commercial and/or private sprayer applicator experience highly preferred.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong personal motivation along with strong moral values and a commitment to the betterment of the operation.
  • Ability to work extended hours during the busy season.

Consumer Safety Inspector for USDA

What you would be doing: In your position as a Consumer Safety Inspector, you will verify that meat and poultry slaughter and/or processing establishments’ Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) Plans meet regulatory requirements and are being executed effectively to prevent unsanitary conditions and adulteration of product.

Qualifications: Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor’s degree with major study or at least 24 semester hours/credits in any combination of coursework in the areas of: agricultural, biological, or physical sciences, food technology, epidemiology, home economics, pharmacy, engineering, or nutrition. Specialized government or military training may be creditable if it is related directly to this position.
