Mechanic & Service Technician for Everglades Farm Equipment

A little about the business: Everglades Farm Equipment is a family-owned business that started in 1963 serving the agricultural industry around Lake Okeechobee and have grown to 12 locations covering South and Central Florida. We serve a wide range of customers from some of the largest agricultural producers of sugar, citrus and vegetables to individual farmers, nurseries, and commercial landscape management companies as well as large and small property owners. 

What you would be doing: 

  • Repair and maintain a variety of agricultural, lawn, and construction equipment
  • Go into the field and service equipment
  • Navigate product support software and computer programs for work order maintenance and write report for invoicing
  • Exercise good customer relations and handle customer complaints
  • Maintain relationship with fellow employees
  • Must always follow safety practices


  • 3-5 years’ experience working on equipment; preferable in Agricultural, Lawn maintenance or Construction
  • Valid Florida Driver’s License
  • Mechanical knowledge, preferably z-tracks to 2 Stroke equipment.
  • Certification in automotive air-conditioning
  • Read hydraulic schematics and diagnose hydraulic system faults
  • Read electrical schematics and diagnose electronic faults
  • Experience in diagnosing and repair of diesel engines
  • Must be able to maintain files 
  • Basic Data Entry and write reports
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced, extreme environmental conditions and meet deadlines
  • Team builder
  • Self-motivated

Agronomy Controller for Central Valley Ag (CVA)

A little about the business: Central Valley Ag (CVA) is a member-owned farmers’ cooperative located in central and northeastern Nebraska. Established in 2003, CVA has 365 employees across our trade area that provides agronomy, grain, and feed services to over 10,000 farmers and ranchers.

What you would be doing: 

  • Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures. 
  • Protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls. 
  • Participate in key Agronomy decisions pertaining to strategic initiatives, operating model and operational execution 
  • Prepares budgets by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data; recommending plans. 
  • Consistently analyze Agronomic data and present Agronomy reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; monitor progress and changes and keep senior leadership abreast of CVA’s status; 
  • Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. 
  • Oversee preparation of month-end, quarter-end and year-end Agronomy financial statements 


  • A minimum of a BS
  • At least 3+ years of progressively responsible experience in agriculture/cooperative accounting 
  • Experience working with information technology staff to manage company IT System 
  • Strong relationship builder and communicator with experience leading diverse work teams, developing an organization wide strategy for location excellence, engaging company partners, and partnering with Division Leadership 
  • Passionate about central Valley Ag Cooperative’s mission and able to promote and communicate the philosophy, mission, and values of CVA to external and internal stakeholders 
  • Broad understanding of Agriculture, and Agronomy and Grain businesses 
  • Strong written, content development and oral communication skills 
  • Goal-oriented and focused 
  • Drive, energy and enthusiasm and strongly proactive

Field Sales Agronomist for Central Valley Ag (CVA)

What you would be doing: 

  • Responsible for consulting with producers and making appropriate recommendations of fertilizer, seed, chemical and GPS products and services.
  • Responsible for maintaining current customer base and developing new business.
  • Carries out and is responsible for the development of the agronomy marketing program for location.
  • Responsible for maintaining high customer satisfaction by handling complaints professionally.
  • Calls on prospective producers to build new business and to increase sales.
  • Facilitates in the logistics of custom application equipment and product.

  • Must have the ability to use good judgment and decision making.
  • General mathematics and accounting skills required.

Dairy Herd Manager for Gar-Lin Dairy

What you would be doing:

  • Communicate with team to ensure proper procedures are followed (i.e. sick cow treatment, dry cow treatment, down cows, vaccination schedules)
  • Ensure accurate tracking and data input in dairy software

  • Provide a clean, comfortable, safe and positive environment for livestock and employees
  • Work with other managers, veterinarian, nutritionist, and agronomist to ensure herd health and profitability

  • Understand and implement marketing initiatives while driving key products and services in key target markets   
  • Communicate and implement Stine’s sales programs and policies within the assigned territory in order to meet sales goals for the district  
  • Work in conjunction with the Stine Regional Sales Agronomist to provide a high level of sales support within the assigned territory 
  • Develop and enhance relationships with customers and potential customers, either personally or through a designated seller 


  • Three or more years of sales experience; preferably in agriculture, agronomy, seed and/or ag equipment   
  • Prior success in relationship sales with a longer sales cycle  
  • Demonstrated knowledge of proven sales techniques, as well as excellent negotiating skills and the ability to overcome obstacles.  
  • Self-starter who can develop daily and weekly goals with little direction  
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with growers by understanding their needs and values and achieve desired results
