What you would be doing: 

  • Actively participates in promoting, supporting and enhancing our Core Purpose, Core Values and Company Culture
  • Maintains a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that promotes cooperation with customers, collaborators, vendors, team members and management
  • Fully embraces Great Game of Business (“GGOB”), Scaling Up and all strategies and activities related to financial transparency and information sharing, including timely updates to revenue (if applicable), expenses, and cash goals.
  • Developing and executing a planned approach by creating a sales plan for accounts and contacts to target, activities, and milestones leading to the generation of sales
  • Communicating the risks, assumptions and dependencies associated with the sales plan
  • Managing and progressing a qualified pipeline of opportunities by prioritizing assigned accounts and contacts and advancing opportunities with a disciplined and organized approach


  • Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, horticulture or equivalent in a related field
  • 5 years of field sales experience or equivalent, PCA license REQUIRED.
  • Well-developed sales skills
  • Self-directed and the ability to work and solve problems independently
  • Ability to make decisions and evaluations to determine the needs of the customers
  • Ability to travel at least 75% of the time
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in both technical and business terms
  • Actively contribute to our Customer Innovation initiatives based on active listening of our Customers
  • Treats all employees and customers with dignity, respect and courtesy
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)

Farm Equipment Operator – Applicator for Central Valley Ag (CVA)

A little about the business: Central Valley Ag (CVA) is a member-owned farmers’ cooperative located in central and northeastern Nebraska. Established in 2003, CVA has 365 employees across our trade area that provides agronomy, grain, and feed services to over 10,000 farmers and ranchers.

What you would be doing: 

  • Performs custom application of fertilizers, herbicides and insecticides with dry and liquid machines.  
  • Responsible for upkeep and repairs of the application equipment they operate.  
  • Understands and complies with safety and governmental regulations.  
  • Takes customer orders at liquid, chemical and dry plant.  
  • Maintains levels at liquid and dry plant.  
  • Collects soil samples as needed.  


  • General mechanical ability required.  
  • Integrity and good judgment skills required.  
  • Excellent customer service skills required.  
  • Must be a quick learner and have the ability to multi-task.  
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required.

What you would be doing: 

  • Act as the liaison between the General Manager and department managers, developing and implementing procedures and controls to promote communication and adequate information flow within the organization.
  • Provide work direction to the Grain, Feed, Agronomy and Operations departments.
  • Manage the elevator operations according to divisional objectives to provide patrons with prompt, courteous and effective service while maintaining the efficiency necessary to achieve a maximum margin of profit.
  • Manage the elevator workforce through responsible training, clear job assignment definition and explanation, correct deficient performance, and effectively reward and develop all employees.
  • Evaluate and make recommendations to improve existing programs of elevator housekeeping, safety and equipment maintenance to avoid breakdowns and limit safety hazards. Maintain all related record keeping logs.
  • Evaluate the results of overall operations regularly and systematically and reports these results to the General Manager.


  • Bachelor’s degree in an Agriculture related program (additional years of experience may offset education requirement)
  • 5 plus years of production agriculture and Coop management experience
  • Supervisory experience
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs, climb ladders, stairs and bins
  • Ability to operate loaders, conveyors, tractors, and track mobile
  • Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures
