What you would be doing:

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business, or other Technical areas.
  • Equivalent experience with 8+ years of progressive experience in business or IT environment or advanced degree with 6+ years of progressive experience.
  • Experience in designing end to end digital marketing/publishing flows.
  • Sugar CRM, Drupal, JavaScript, Adobe, Google Cloud, Amazon Cloud.
  • Understanding and knowledge of IT service management (ITSM) and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
  • Team player and collaborative, with strong leadership skills

Mechanic for Great Lakes Glads

A little about the business: Great Lakes Glads, located in south central Michigan, has been a major producer of cut flowers since 1971.  We produce over 1,000 acres of field grown fresh cut flowers. We are best known as the largest producer of fresh cut gladiolus in the United States and offer other lines of floral products including fresh cut sunflowers and peonies. What you would be doing: 

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair for large fleet of agriculture equipment, trucks and vans both in the field and in the shop.
  • Conduct routine servicing of equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized shop, work area and service truck.

Qualifications: 

  • You have a solid background in either agriculture equipment maintenance, diesel and gas vehicle repair, heavy equipment repair, and or strongly relatable experience in construction or military.
  • You are able to work extended hours during peak seasons.

What you would be doing: 

  • Assists patrons at the location in a professional and courteous manner with agronomic purchasing decisions.
  • Coordinates with custom applicators and tanks on the spreading, spraying and delivery of bulk fertilizer to assure the most cost-effective use of equipment.
  • Creates and recommends specific agronomy programs that utilize seed services, precision farming technology, financial services and other marketing tools with the goal of increasing agronomy business.
  • Delivers timely and accurate communication to targeted producers, based on intimate customer and Central Valley Ag brand knowledge to drive value added sales.
  • Provides timely and accurate communications, demand forecasts, customer complaints, sales reports and timely requests for competitive pricing, etc.
  • Manages current customer accounts to include developing whole farm plans, forecasting agronomy inputs, price negotiations, technical coordination, contract preparations, contract closures, complaint resolution and contract collections.

Qualifications: 

  • Integrity and good judgment skills required in order to handle the confidential nature of duties, tasks and information.
  • Excellent customer service and public relation skills required.
  • Must have a high level of proficiency with the internet, email and Microsoft Office programs.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and effective negotiation skills.
  • Excellent planning and organization skills required.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents required.
  • Must have the ability to develop content for customer/patron and prospect correspondence.

Office Manager for Natural Choice Dairy

What you would be doing:

  • Administer, review, and approve weekly payroll for both dairies.
  • Setup new vendor accounts as needed.
  • Provide a single-source contact function for all interactions with financial institutions, including providing the monthly borrowing base report.
  • Order and maintain appropriate stock of consumable supplies such as office supplies, salt, propane, and as needed by request from the team.
  • Maintain accurate record of feed ingredients in EZ-Feed program, using scale tickets, to provide weekly usage and cost information to leadership team. Provide suggestions for cost reduction.
  • Project company values and vision through on-site tour requests, educational sessions, and local community interactions.

Qualifications: 

  • Prior accounting, payroll and office manager/administrator experience
  • Ability to multi-task and think several steps ahead for what needs to be done
  • Proficient experience in financial software (QuickBooks Pro)
  • Willingness to walk the barns and understand the dairy operation in its entirety

Herd Manager with ownership potential for Gar-Lin Dairy

  • Ensure accurate tracking and data input in dairy software
  • Work closely and communicate openly with owners on continuous improvement to maximize productivity
  • Provide a clean, comfortable, safe and positive environment for livestock and employees
  • Work with other managers, veterinarian, nutritionist, and agronomist to ensure herd health and profitability

Qualifications: 

  • Experience and understanding of a mid-size dairy operation
  • Basic mechanical and troubleshooting ability
  • Desire for ownership and a high level of commitment to focus on the details
