Grain Merchandising Department Manager for CHS, Inc.

What you would be doing: 

  • Merchandise overall grain positions in accordance with company policy.
  • Create budgets and have full responsibility of the P & L statement.
  • Implement and administer marketing programs with farmer patrons.
  • Coordinate movement of grain, receiving, grading, loading, and storage among elevator facilities to maximize profitability and meet objectives of General Manager and Assistant General Manager.
  • Communicate with General Manager, Assistant General Manager and/or line merchandisers on grain positions and grain programs.
  • Keep abreast of market conditions and area crop conditions to minimize exposure and maximize profitability.


  • You have 5+ years of experience with grain merchandising, grain procurement or grain origination.
  • You would enjoy expanding your leadership skills and leading a team (prior management experience is not required).
  • You are detail oriented with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Heavy Equipment Mechanic for Agri Industries, Inc.

A little about the business: Welcome to Agri Industries! We’re a family-owned operation providing irrigation and water well drilling systems and services to northern North Dakota and Montana. What you would be doing: 

  • Evaluate and diagnose mechanical problems with mobile heavy equipment throughout our construction operations
  • Travel to various remote sites to accomplish field repairs on machines that have broken down in places where relocating them to the main shop would be counterproductive
  • Communicate clearly with mechanical technicians and other team members providing support services during repair operations
  • Document various steps taken throughout the repair process to ensure consistency in future repairs and in reporting on resources and supplies used
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the various mechanical systems that go into each piece of mobile construction equipment in our operation’s various locations
  • Supervise and train technicians and other support staff members whose primary responsibilities consist of assisting with operations


  • 3-5 years’ experience as a heavy equipment mechanic or diesel technician working on similar equipment
  • Strong mechanical, hydraulic and electrical system experience with heavy equipment
  • Prior farming and/or agriculture experience; highly preferred or strong understanding of the industry
  • Completion of technical certification program for mobile heavy equipment repair preferred, but not required with experience
  • A valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Custom Applicator for MKC

A little about the business: MKC is one of the leading agricultural companies in central Kansas.

What you would be doing: 

  • Perform spraying, spreading and tendering duties properly and in accordance with (job orders) delivery tickets.
  • Operate and maintain spraying, spreading and tendering equipment properly and in accordance with manufacture’s maintenance manuals and operator manuals. Report need for maintenance work or replacement of equipment to Agronomy Operations Manager when necessary.
  • Mix fertilizer and chemicals properly in accordance with quality standards.
  • Report inventory needs to Agronomy Operations Manager immediately.
  • Invoice all product deliveries promptly and accurately, ensuring all tickets are turned in to the office accurately on a daily basis, ensure all cash receipts are turned in daily to office, and present a copy of the transaction to each customer.
  • Fill out application records completely and accurately, submit application records to your supervisor daily, and inform your supervisor of discrepancies in your reports as soon as you are aware of them.


  • Current operational knowledge of all spray rigs and tender trucks located at assigned location and knowledge of applicable OSHA, State, EPA, and DOT regulations.
  • Current operational knowledge of the equipment in the chemical and fertilizer plant.
  • Good working knowledge of MSDS information on chemicals and fertilizer being handled.
  • Good working knowledge of seeds, chemicals, and fertilizer products.
  • Commercial Driver’s License (A) with Hazardous Materials and Tanker endorsements.
  • Custom Applicator’s License.
  • Ability to deal with emotional customers and help resolve complaints.
  • Frequently lift or move 50 pounds and occasionally lift or move 100 pounds.
