According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, an average of 60,000 high-skilled agricultural job openings are expected annually in the United States over the next five years with only about 35,000 graduates to fill them.
In the year 2050 more than 9 billion people will need something to eat every day compared to the 7 billion we have today. There is a strong need for agricultural candidates across the entire country and AgHires is helping fill the need.
AgHires founder Lori Culler has seen the problems first hand in her family farm operation growing about 9,000 acres of potatoes, tomatoes and corn. Not enough candidates to fill job current openings and not enough resources to find the ones that exist. In turn, this is why she created AgHires.

Agriculture candidates are in high demand and will continue to be in high demand for the foreseeable future. The average starting salary for an agriculture graduate is about $50K and 25% of the workforce is 55 and older which means new opportunities will exist for years to come as baby boomers begin to retire.
