A little about the business: Central Valley Ag is a member-owned cooperative located in central and northeastern Nebraska. They provide agronomy, grain, and feed services to over 10,000 farmers and ranchers. They are looking for a Director of Information Services to join their team.
What you would be doing: As the Director of Information Services, you would ensure the success of Information Services (IS) operations through effective planning, prioritization, staff management, resource allocation, business partnership, and sound fiscal practices. Some of your duties would include ensuring successful and timely project delivery, monitoring all information technology projects, analyzing and recommending critical buy/build decisions, and preparing the Information Services budget.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a technology related field, 15+ years IT experience of increasing scope and responsibility, minimum of four years direct supervisory experience in management administrative capacity, and a broad understanding of business and IT functions and processes.
A little about the business: Hitchcock Inc. is a family-owned manufacturer of sugar beet equipment located in Burlington, Colorado and Goodland, Kansas, and founded in 1961. They provide fast, reliable service and trusted knowledge to their farming customers to help their operations remain profitable. They are looking for a Service Technician to join their team in Burlington.
What you would be doing: As the Service Technician, you would be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and conducting mechanical repairs on center pivot, linear, and corner irrigation systems, working directly with farm growers in order to communicate repairs made and to share available products and services, and completing service reports, ordering parts, and maintaining customer records.
Qualifications: 2 – 3 years’ experience in maintenance and repair of electrical or mechanical systems related to irrigation or ag equipment, welding experience, and ability to communicate clearly.
A little about the business: Lad Irrigation is a Valley Irrigation dealer headquartered in Moses Lake, Washington. They are an employee-owned company that installs and services agricultural irrigation systems. They are looking for an Outside Sales Representative to join their Moses Lake team.
What you would be doing: As the Outside Sales Representative, you would travel on-site to farms and agribusiness operations within their territory. Some of your responsibilities would include conducting all sales activities and business development from lead generation, partnering with new customers to ensure more efficient, cost effective solutions, developing sales budgets, maintaining product knowledge, and participating in strategic marketing and business development activities for new products, clients, and services.
Qualifications: 2+ years’ prior sales experience (preferably in ag), understanding of farming, agriculture, irrigation, or related fields, basic mechanical knowledge, and communication skills.
A little about the business: Sump Ag is a family-owned business that produces crops, sells chemicals and seed, and custom applies fertilizer and other crop nutrients to farmers in their areas. They are looking for a Mechanic & Ag Equipment Operator to join their team in Randolph, Kansas.
What you would be doing: As the Mechanic & Ag Equipment Operator for Sump Ag, you would be responsible for leading/assisting shop projects, troubleshooting and identifying problems and solutions, maintaining and repairing equipment and vehicles, and keeping records of maintenance and repairs.
Qualifications: Must be self-motivated, trustworthy, and have a good attitude towards coworkers and customers.
A little about the business: Landmark Services Cooperative is a member-owned cooperative business providing agronomy, animal nutrition, grain, and energy and retail products and services to over 15,000 members in communities throughout southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois. They are looking for an experienced Agronomy Account Manager to join their team at their Durand, Illinois location.
What you would be doing: As the Agronomy Account Manager, you would focus on outside agronomy sales direct to their growers within a 40 miles radius of the location. Some of your responsibilities would include recommending fertilizers, chemicals, and seeds, writing up orders for products, analyzing soil through sampling and observation, developing plans for pest infestations or other crop problems, and communicating with other team members.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in soil science, agronomy, ag business, or equivalent experience, 3 – 5 years agronomy sales experience and integrated pest management techniques, CCA (certified crop advisor) or willing to obtain, and a valid driver’s license.
